Maurice Ting

Growing up in Mauritius and educated in England, Maurice has worked in and witnessed a number of iconic British companies standing the test of time and continue to lead their field in the modern world.
Passionate about our customers’ excellence. Maurice believes that customers deserve total peace of mind when buying specialty sewing thread, so that they can focus on growing their loyal customer base.
A hands on spinning veteran, he is at his best when putting British core values and British Excellence into the Asian manufacturing.
A veteran of Coats Group, who was trained in Coats spinning mills in Scotland, Italy, Spain and Malaysia. He opened Coats mills from scratch in Taiwan and Korea in the 1980’s.
Has led Tinguza Tacking Threads since the 1990’s, maintaining a close working relationship with all the major international textile and fashion groups.
Currently based in Hong Kong overseeing our Asian spinning operations.
Nicola Pollock
Spinning Technologist
Born and educated in South Yorkshire, the historical spinning centre in the U.K.
Nicola’s passion for textile technology has taken her to Leicester where she received her university education in textiles, as well as working with major cutting edge textile companies. Apart from being the UK leader of Tinguza, she is also responsible for maintaining close working relationships with all the UK and European groups.
Nicola also has in-depth knowledge of Japanese industrial practices, which coincides with the Tinguza core values of investment and care for details.
Joan Santamaria
Spinning Technologist
A proud native of Catalonia.
And a graduate of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona
Joan has been running spinning mills in Europe since 1990. Literally non stop. He works closely with Maurice on spinning technology and innovations. He is also a champion of circularity and sustainability, working for a more sustainable future.
Apart from bringing cutting edge technology to the Tinguza Group, Joan is also leading our sprint towards a fully sustainable and circular future.
